Interview with Doctor Fatema Jethpurwala-HOPE FOR HOPELESS

Her Biodata

Dr.Fatema Ismail Jethpurwala was born on 02/01/1960 with her age now 45 years

when met her was still fresh n energetic with glow on her face n full of hopes & lot of smiling on her face.

When asked bout her Eduication she said :she has done her B.Sc.(Micro)in 1980 B.Ed.(special education) in 1986,D.H.M.S. (Homeopathy ) 1996.further she decribed about her profession that she is a Homeopathic Physiacian & Teacher in Special Education. Vow!!!!!!!!1

When asked about her Childhood she answered she was very studious ,shy &observing .She had a parental Seperation at the age of 13 years n was living with her mother then & 2 brothers at Nallasopara a suburb of Mumbai -India till her marriage.She added that she use to travell for school to Alexendra High scool -Byculla Mumbai then to Wilson College Chowpatty for her studies as she was interested in becoming Doctor since her childhood.& she completed her 10th in 1975.But due to Financial,Domestic,& social problems she cud'nt.

Then she said that she got married in 1980 then she did her final year after marriage of Micro B.Sc by April 1980.

Was asked about her extra curricular activities she answered that she used to give tutions for her self support n then shud study along.

Then about her Husband he is a business man they were first cousins.she then added to our interview that she use to hate him a lot b4 marriage n was not ready to talk to him.then once he caught her up n asked her why is she not talking to him n hate him so she then thought that she did not had any reasons to hate him n finally he proposed her when she was in 12th she aslo said that her family were against their marriage but after the graet situtions they got married in 1980 finally n life was great then

Then in 1981 their son was born Life took turn

He had Anoxia (Lack of Oxygen to the braeth) n the child turned Blue.But teh was saved when kept in I.C.C.U .Her Srtuggle began once again.She said she started Doctors Shopping for her son means that she started approaching all Dopctors for her son's problems but no proper guidance was there went to Best Paediatriciam n he wrongly Diagnose n labelled the child 'Mentally Retarded'

But then she found a hope at 15 months of child he was being in right hand n was diagnosed right of Cerebral Palsy Spastic (Problems of Movements Centre in the Brain Controlling)

His Movements parts in Brain was damage where the child had muscle problem n cud not move his body parts .He faced problems in walking ,eating,talking,braething,passing stools,etc.

Then the child was being started on 'Training Muscles 'wheer he was taught to work without the help of the Brain'.This was done thru Occupational \Physiotherapy.Its really easy to hear but too difficult to go thru which Dr.Ftaema went thru.

But with full confidence she said to us that 'I decided then to learn all of us have to raech to the world with Limited Movements ,my son could not reach the wrold, So I'll bring the Wrld to him'.So I did .........

She added that after initial Crying'one day i got a thought if crying cud help I cud have asked the whole world to have cried with me 1 minute.but i have to go on.whetehr smiling or crying is my choice I decided on this n she said that 'The ROAD GOT EASIER'

Further she emphasis her hubby that he motivated her to study further for Physiotherapy which had duration of 3 1/2 -4 years. But she refused for that not on cause of neglecting her child then.

Then one fine day she met a lady 'Zehar Ben'at C.O.H. (Children's Orthopaedic Hospital)she was a teacher there.n she motivated Dr.Fatema to study B.Ed.(Sp.Education).She said when going to C.O.H.i used to eat everyone's head to know my son's problem & finally found my solutions to it.Then i did my B;Ed.at S.N.D.T. -Juhu in 1986-for full time.But the she said that while doing my B.Ed.it was learning for me too n new callenge for her she said'.My son can do so many things without me then n in mean time he was on Homeopath training & was getting better.

Then his initial teaching started like his walking,talking,smiling,_expression reading lijke raeding facesof people to undersatnd when you are not welcome at someone's place etc.

I asked her what she wants to achieve more ?Dr.Fatema answered smiling that 'What i have to see my son after 5\10 yaers i have to work today'.So she said i started to breaking up with hsi work in small parts to acheive it.e.g. make him wear his t'shirts she added how he learnt wearing shirt first he was taught to button his shirt then while learnt that he was taught how to put his right hand then how to pull his lkeft hand behind pull the shirt for right hand .Means the Last part of the work is taught first so taht the concept of thinking worjk that he knows th end of it n laerns faster the first part with more ease.Isn't it interesting ?Ya it sounds intertesting but it is what Sp.Education called as! Where child is showed his destination so that his path becomes easier to walk.

She added her hubby used to sit with her at night n discussed the problems n finds solutions for it. Great!!!!!!!1where one mind works n other one more mind is added to make path more easy n faster.

Now Dr.Fatema is Homeopath Dr.

Asked her after achieveing so much how she feels now?

She smilingly said she thanked Allah Subhanahu n Aqa Burhanuddin T.U.S. for guiding me & work towards the higher purpose of life that i was destined for.

At last have after long enduring journeys been able to stand on a footing to be proud of!!!!!!

Have to go a long way yet to reach out to many more to be able to live upto the motto !that i have created since 20 years for my self-

She added - 'To craete a SMILE' on one face at least in one day -So at the end of many years -I have so many smiling faces by my side !!!!!!!!!!!!

That way we ended up with lots of smiles
